He saw the sad eyes, the immobilized residents and thought , "this is not the way that life is supposed to end. You are not supposed to spend the last years of your life in pain, not able to function normally."

He knew there were benefits in nutritional supplements, in Aloe vera , in antioxidants that could help the aging process.
